Sassy Satchels

Have you guys checked out Sassy Satchels yet??? I am so silly excited about my bag! I was taking portraits a few weekends ago and noticed my client had the cutest diaper bag. So, of course I had to know where she got it and guess what she makes them! I was so excited cause I hadn't gotten a bag because I don't like traditional diaper bags at all. So, I had been on the hunt for something that would really fit ME. So, we started designing one and it was such an awesome process! I got to pick my fabrics, with her help because I stink at that type of thing. Anyways, I just wanted to post for those who may be in the market for a cute diaper bag, purse, or burp cloths. Her bags are awesome and affordable! I get mine this week, so I will post pictures of it when it's here. Here is a sample of what the general idea is. After you look at how stinking adorable my bag is going to be get right over to http://www.sassysatchels.blogspot.com/ . You won't regret it!!!

Ohhh the drama!

I don't think I came properly equipped for child bearing. Each one of my pregnancies brings new events, new challenges, new drama. And as most of you know Brooklynne has been the Drama Queen since we found out she was there. Wednesday I went in to the Dr for my 34 week appointment, and everything was looking good. I have an ultrasound at 36 weeks and we will see how big she is and how I am doing to determine if we should induce sooner than 39 weeks if she doesn't come on her own before that. Thursday night we went and got some of the last minute stuff since we knew that at 35 weeks they would not stop her from coming. I was told to stay on my house arrest for one more week, so we would at least make it to 35 and a half. Well, my body thought perhaps we should just have a dry run to see how things would go down in the real event. Thursday night I felt a little different, Friday morning I called to let them know and they said just to watch it and let them know. Well, at 10:30 the contractions started. Nothing new for me. I start contracting like a mad woman at around 15 weeks each time, it's lame. So, nothing new...I went about my business but was feeling yuck. Decided I should lay down after about 45 minutes of consistent contractions. A couple hours later we decided I should be checked. So, off we went on the dry run. My mom took the boys, Joseph came all the way home from work and we headed downtown. In the 30 minute drive I had 6 contractions, so they were moving closer together. They checked me and I am still 1cm dilated, which is good news - the contractions were not dilating me. They monitored me and by that point I was contracting pretty good about every 2-3 minutes apart. We decided either I could go to the hospital and sit and see what happens or I could come home, take some pain pills to help relax my muscles and rest. I took option #2, and guess what happened?!?! Nothing. No baby (which is good cause I am still finishing up some work). Basically, my body is all talk at this point. Stupid body. Thank the good Lord this is it for me. And the lovely women who stayed at my Dr's office on a Friday afternoon to wait for me to come in for nothing - bless you. I seriously LOVE my Dr and all of his nurses, they rock. They put up with me, so they have to be extra special. :) I'll keep you all posted to the never ending saga of my final weeks of pregnancy and my lame body.

I made it!

I was so nervous about ending up on full blown bedrest before I finished up the last 2 weekends of sessions. But I made it! And the sessions from this weekend went so wonderful. Both were return clients, it is always such a treat for me to be able to see children as they grow. To watch them go from babies to toddlers just full of personality. They were so wonderful and fun. It was truly an incredible way to go on leave. I'm not 100% on leave yet as I have orders to complete now, but things are slowing down and I have time to get last minute things ready for Brooklynne's arrival.
I have had a huge amount of inquiries for sessions lately, and since I don't know an exact date of when I will return I have started a waiting list. There are many families on the list already. About 2-3 weeks before I come back I will contact those who are on the waiting list to start booking sessions, so I anticipate a busy return for some fun in the sun summer sessions. (Then we will quickly be into the holiday rush! ACK!) If you'd like to be on the waiting list, there is no deposit for it and I have not announced a special but your name would be added and you will be among the first to know dates, specials, and have first choice for booking. And as I mentioned, we will be making some fine tuning adjustments to the business - so stay tuned for some exciting announcements! Alright, I've gotta go prop up the swollen feet and lay my poor aching back on the heating pad. I'm so huge it's not even funny.

It's a race to the finish!

I have been telling you all for months now when my leave was going to start, and it always seemed SO far away. But it's actually here! It's kinda bittersweet for me. I am so excited to have this little girl, but I really enjoy my work. I do have plans to revamp some business things while I am gone, make things even better...but I will definitely miss my clients. I have been on "modified bedrest" or as my lovely doctor tells me I have been "laying low and calling in the calvary" for a week now. I like to call it house arrest. :) I at least don't have to just lay in bed, but I can't do much. I can hang out with the boys, go to church, take Reagan to preschool and of course do my last bit of work. But I can't go walking the mall, do any type of yard work or gardening, no heavy cleaning (yay for me), no lifting my kids (yeah right), basically I can't be on my feet much at all. I go back to the doctor next week and I will be 34 and a half weeks. The immediate goal was for me to make it 2 weeks, which is the day I go back to the dr. I suppose we will see from there what the next goal or game plan is. I just really need to make it to 36 weeks, then I am hoping they will say she's good to come any time after that. I will have a sono at 36 weeks to see how big Brooklynne is and to see how everything looks, and hopefully we will make a game plan from there. My body is tired and ready to quit now, so as long as we make it to the safe zone I will be happy to deliver. But at the very most I have about 5 weeks left. Last weekend and this weekend were my last 2 weekends of work. Last weekend went well, I had so much fun with both families and the pictures are lovely if I don't say so myself. But it's hard to go wrong with such fantastic and CUTE families! Anyways, I will be posting here more regularly now that things will be slowing down. Make sure to stay tuned for baby news. Myself or my husband will be posting here when she arrives, so if you aren't already subscribed for updates do it now! In the meantime, I'm sure to do a lot of rambling on here to pass time. :) Hope you are all doing well.

Being a MOM...
We are sitting at lunch one day when my daughter casually mentions that she and her husband are thinking of "starting a family."
"We're taking a survey," she says half-joking. "Do you think I should have a baby?"
"It will change your life," I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral.
"I know," she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous vacations."
But that is not what I meant at all. I look at my daughter, trying to decide what to tell her.
I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes.
I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal but becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will forever be vulnerable.
I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without asking, "What if that had been MY child?"
That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her. That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die.
I look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub.
That an urgent call of "Mom!" will cause her to drop a souffle or her best crystal without a moments hesitation.
I feel that I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood.
She might arrange for childcare, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting and she will think of her baby's sweet smell.
She will have to use every ounce of discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her baby is all right.
I want my daughter to know that every day decisions will no longer be routine.
That a five year old boy's desire to go to the men's room rather than the women's at McDonald's will become a major dilemma.
That right there, in the midst of clattering trays and screaming children, issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in that restroom. However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother.
Looking at my attractive daughter, I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself.
That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child.
That she would give herself up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years, not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs.
I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor.
My daughter's relationship with her husband will change, but not in the way she thinks.
I wish she could understand how much more you can love a man who is careful to powder the baby or who never hesitates to play with his child.
I think she should know that she will fall in love with him again for reasons she would now find very unromantic.
I wish my daughter could sense the bond she will feel with women throughout history who have tried to stop war, prejudice and drunk driving.
I want to describe to my daughter the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to ride a bike.
I want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog or cat for the first time. I want her to taste the joy that is so real it actually hurts.
My daughter's quizzical look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes.
"You'll never regret it," I finally say.
Then I reached across the table, squeezed my daughter's hand and offered a silent prayer for her, and for me, and for all the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this most wonderful of callings. There are good fathers, yes, but only a mother can truly understand the depth of which I speak...Please share this with a Mom that you know or all of your girlfriends, or daughters, who may someday be Moms.

99 Balloons

99 Balloons. For those of my clients that have been around for a while, you already know what I am referring to. For those that don't, let me introduce you to Eliot. Eliot changed my life, and moved my heart more in his 99 days that I would have ever imagined. Eliot came into my life by accident really. He has a family member that is a photographer, and she put out a prayer request for him. I contacted her having been moved asking for permission to pass the word on. She gave me the ok, and many of you took the journey of Eliot's short life with me. Every Wednesday an update was made, and every Wednesday I was there on the blog to see how he was doing. One week I hadn't checked in. I got a call from one of my clients who had been following Eliot's story. She asked if I had been to the site. I hadn't but knew right away what the news was just by the sound of her voice. I immediately logged on, with a huge pit in my stomach I read. I cried. I weeped for this 99 day old boy I had never met. I was devastated to be honest. I can only imagine the feelings of his parents and family. I felt as though I knew him and his wonderful parents so well. They had each impacted my life so much. If you haven't been to his blog please visit. And read the archives. It is life altering. But just make sure you bring your kleenex. But I'd like to encourage ALL of you, wether you have read the blog yet or not to please watch the 6 minute movie about Eliot's 99 day journey. Bring your kleenex, probably the whole box. It is still so amazing to me how a tiny baby, who couldn't breathe or eat on his own - can move so many people, change so many lives, and impact so many hearts. I have said it before, and will say it again...thank you Eliot. You and your parents continue to be such an inspiration. You can see 99 Balloons here:

HOW did I miss these??? These little gems have been sitting in my computer for almost a year, untouched...unloved...it's photo abuse. I cannot believe I missed these. Of course, I am boring you all once again with pictures of my kids, but I'm the mom and looooove them! Granted, they are not what you all are used to as far as studio work, but this is what I love. Candid moments, moments that remind me of how fun and silly and darling they are. The one of Mason walking away was last summer, he was just over one and just learned to walk. Let me tell you when I found that picture I almost started to cry. He will be 2 in 2 weeks, and well - he's not that much of a baby any more. And gosh my Reagan looks SO young in these. They grow up so fast.

Only 10 weeks max!

Can I just tell you how excited I am that I am in the home stretch of this pregnancy. I have felt lately like I still have forever to go, and very well may get to feeling that way again. BUT I am really, really close! Only 10 weeks max left for me. And when I look at my calendar and work schedule, it will fly by! I only have 2 slots left total before I go on leave. And only a total of 3 more working weekends. I am so excited to take leave, because I know it means it will be baby time. But I will so miss having interaction with my clients. However, with this being our 3rd baby, I may just be too busy to think about it. And seriously, can I just go ahead and mention....I am petrified of baby #3. We will officially be outnumbered. Scary. And let's not mention the fact that after having 2 boys, I am scared to death of having a girl. And my baby (Mason) is turning 2 in 3 weeks. Makes me kinda sad. He is growing up and so independent. He just melts my poor lil heart every time I see him, and I literally am clay in his hands. Which is surprising considering how ornry he really is. He has himself a new Dora potty (why can't they make potty's that have boy characters??? He loves Dora and I don't mind that it's Dora, but why don't they even make other characters? Is Dora really the only one with the great idea???) so we have been letting him sit on it whenever he feels like it. We know he's not ready, but he is learning what it's all about and thats step #1. So, my husband is getting the boys ready Saturday morning before my session and he took Mason to go sit on the potty. He didn't do anything of course, but A for effort right?!?! So, my hubby walks to his room to get him dressed and Mason wandered off towards the living room. Joseph went to go get him to get him dressed for the day. WELL, there he was in my entry way standing in front of a decorative Mexican terracotta pot, shirt lifted, peeing on the side of the pot with a HUGE smile on his face. He was trying to get it in the pot, just had bad aim. But he was so proud. Joseph came in to tell me what "my son" had just done, and Mason comes walking behind him shaking his head "yes" and clapping and smiling as his daddy tells me his great success. Moral of the story, don't say "let's go pee in the pot". Shortening it on accident isn't all it's cracked up to be, and you too could be on your hands and knees cleaning up peepee and cracking up uncontrollably. :) Have a great week everyone!!!

I totally forgot I was supposed to update...

I swear my pregnant brain is such mush right now. It's a wonder my kids still get fed everyday! I forgot completely that I was supposed to update on availability as it fills. And we have had a ton of slots fill up. So, here is new availability:
March:
10th - booked
17th - booked
24th - 1 slot left, email for time

April:
7th - 1 slot left, email for time
21st - 1 slot left, email for time
28th - 1 slot left, email for time

So, basically I am only looking at a total of 4 slots left before this baby comes!!! And seriously people, I am getting rounder by the minute. It needs to get here just a bit faster so I can meet this little angel!
BUT, my baby finally has a name. I told several of you when we first found out it was a girl that she had a name already, Addison. Well, when Joseph and I decided on the name we totally didn't even realize that the EXACT name we had picked out was actually my cousin's baby's name. So, we have spent the last 7 weeks obsessing (ok, maybe I was the only one actually obsessing, he was just trying to get me off his back about baby names) about what "Baby Girl" would be named. Our oldest son, Reagan had his own list too. It was quite interesting and almost tempting (ok not really). He had names like Dede, Cheech (don't ask), Fudge (this one was almost appropriate), Chachi, and Toe. All of which were SO wonderful and hard to part with. He is so creative. But I have to say they were much creative than my darling husband's choices. I swear that man changed his mind far more than a woman ever does! It was getting ridiculous. Anyways, so back to the point. Our baby has a name. I am excited about it, it is hers and feels "right". I can finally sleep at night, or find something else to obsess about. Oh wait, you wanted to KNOW the name??? Nosey. haha KIDDING! "Baby Girl" is now Brooklynne Grace Menchaca. Only 12 weeks left till I actually get to see her! :)

March and April Session Availability

Most of you got this email, but just as a reminder for my Spring/Summer season....
There's a baby coming soon and it's time to prepare! Bella Amadis Photography will be closed for business all of May-July, and is subject to change with any changes in my health and/or recovery. So, with that being said it is time to start thinking about sessions if you want them. As the nicer weather approaches, the calls and emails have already started to roll in to schedule sessions. I just worked out my schedule and went ahead and opened up March and April for scheduling since it is a very busy season and my growing belly is making it increasingly harder to work. Basically, I have 7 Saturday's open to sessions, all of which will only have 3 session slots open. Here are the available dates:
March:
3rd
10th
17th
24th

April:
7th
21st
28th
**Many slots have already been filled on the dates listed above, I will remove the dates as they fill**

I have also had many of you inquire about bluebonnet portraits, last year the bluebonnets were so scarce we didn't get to do them. But hopefully they will be out this year, if that's the case one of these dates may be dedicated to portraits in the bluebonnets. I will send out those details IF that happens. If you see some awesome spots in the North Austin area, please let me know! Also, please note that May-July, I will not be doing reorders or designs of any sort, so keep that in mind as well.

Sessions in March or April will get $20 off the session fee and 8 Complimentary Wallets with a minimum purchase of $75. That's a total value of $40 savings!

Also, if you would like to order from a session that took place before February 1st 2007, you will pay no reorder fee ($25) and get 8 complimentary wallets with $50 minimum reorder.

Last, and super exciting, as this is something that I NEVER do...Normally you can purchase the copyright release and cd of your session for $500 for up to 40 images from a single session. This gives you full personal printing rights of your portraits. If you would like to purchase the rights to your session that took place before February 1st, 2007 you can do so for $350.

All sales end April 30th.

These moments melt my heart

Seriously, don't let the images fool you. He is so stinkin cute, and looks so squeezable...but it's kinda like a wild animal - you can't get too close. lol Most of you have met my youngest son, Mason. When we found out Mason was to be a boy, I thought I knew exactly what to expect. Because after all I was already raising a boy, and was most definitely a self pronounced boy raising expert. Then he came. So sweet, soft, pure. He looked just like his daddy, and every bit of him melted my heart just like Reagan had. Yep, this would be a peice of cake. Right. No one ever mentioned to me that just because they are the same gender doesn't mean they will have the same demeanor. Reagan was an easy baby, super passive. Mason, is well....apparently just like me. Reagan looks like me, acts like his dad. Mason looks like his dad, acts like me. I am doomed. And last I checked there is only room for 1 hard headed, strong willed person in this house. (guess I better move) :) But even with his strong will, and determination to do the things he maybe shouldn't...he melts my stinkin' heart! Sometimes being a photographer I forget that I am still a mom who can take average shots of my kids. It's hard to put the photographer in me away with a camera in hand. So, today I was determined to take some shots for ME. Technically perfect? Nope. My best work? The pictures - no, the kids - yes!

10 minutes of snow....

I still can't believe that it snowed in Texas! My oldest son was just so excited about now. He asked right away if we could go out and make snowmen and snow angels. He was lucky to just get enough for a snow ball. Mason, the younger one on the other hand...had enough of the cold weather in about 10 minutes and was anxious to get back in to his warm house. But it was fun for those 10 minutes. And hey, it's Texas and a little bit of snow is excited for all of us!
On another note, I am looking for commercial space to be able to display my work. For example, doctor offices, boutiques, etc. for the purpose of placing a nice framed image in for advertisement. So, if you know of anyone with empty wall space who would like to have it decorated with fine art portraits, please let me know!
Have a GREAT weekend! I am off and we are having a garage sale down the road at my mom's to get rid of baby boy stuff!!!

February Special!

Because I am having just a beautiful week, I am in the giving mood. :) SO, I was thinking of what to do for February's special and here it is for my favorite people:

COMPLIMENTARY Session - there will only be 5 of these sessions offered, first come first serve. There is a $25 reservation fee to hold the spot, which will be applied to your portrait order. As with all specials, there is a $50 minimum order.

AND we're having a 10x20 Storyboard Sale! This is my absolute favorite print, so it will be on sale the month of February also. Take $10 off your custom storyboard (reg. $75)!

***Once those 5 sessions are filled, the special will be a complimentary 5x7 with order of $50 or more. ***

Just as a reminder, the January reorder special is expiring in 7 days. If you plan to reorder from a previous session, now is the time to do so. There is NO reorder fee with minimum reorder purchase for the next 7 days!

Have a great week everyone! :)

I know something you don't know!!!

Hi everyone! We had our 20 week ultrasound today and the baby is doing wonderfully. Every bit of the baby looked perfect and healthy. We are so excited and blessed! And of course, with 2 boys we needed to go ahead and find out what the gender is. Every time we have a baby Joseph ALWAYS calls it when they are looking for gender. With each boy he would yell out "It's a boy" before the sonographer even got the chance. He's quite good at getting the ultrasounds while I lay there still trying to figure out if it's a butt or a face. :) So, once again there I lay...the only one who hadn't figured out what is was when Joseph yells out..........................I bet you really want to know huh?!?! hehe Part of me thinks I should keep the secret for another day, the other part of me that knows how many of you know where I live is screaming just tell them. So, there I lay (the only one who doesn't know by this point) and Joseph says "There are no appendages". The sonographer says "Yep, no appendages, no kickstand", to which I say "can someone just tell me what this all means". But the point was clear.....WE ARE GETTING OUR GIRL!!! We just wanted to share our excitement with you all!!! Hope everyone is doing well!

New and IMPROVED

I spent a good amount of time (when I say a good amount of time I really mean a ridiculous amount of time) today prettying up the good ole blog. Gosh I hope SOMEONE appreciates it! Just an FYI there is one spot that opened up for the Valentine's mini sessions, so if you want to grab it just shoot me an email! That's all for now, I used all my brain power on the improvements. :)

Valentine's Mini Sessions!!!

After such a huge success, and many requests for more mini sessions I am launching another one! I realized while walking through Target (my home away from home) that they were gearing up for Valentine's Day. And then it hit me, I promised to do a Valentine mini session weekend!!! So, here it is.....
January 20th bring your Sweethearts for their Valentine's mini session! As usual, there is no session fee for mini sessions. There is now a $50 minimum purchase with mini sessions. I will be sending out e-vites again to set appointments, and if the demand is high enough I may open an additional weekend of sessions.
Ladies, this is also a good time to leave the kids at home and come for a session of your own to surprise that special someone.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or to schedule your mini session.

As I close I wanted to leave you with an incredible quote someone sent to me recently. I know mostly women read my blog, and I know as women we need to be reminded of how special we are. So, this is that reminder that you are beautiful. Ok, enough cheese...just read.

LIGHT
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are we not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of Our Creator that is within us.
It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fears,Our very presence automatically liberates others.

Merry Christmas!!!

Hi friends! I just wanted to pop in and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, eat lots of yummy food, and squeaze your loved ones tight. I am so excited for Christmas this year. Mason is 20 months now, so this year he will really get it. Reagan is super excited for Santa and eye-balling every present under the tree that looks like it should be his (which in his mind is all of them). They have been good (well, as good as a 20 month old and 4 year old boy can get) this year and Mom and Dad have worked their tails off, so Santa is bringing some good stuff I hear. I am so excited to watch my babies little faces as they come out of their rooms on Christmas morning, ready to see what Santa has delivered. It's more exciting than I remember Christmas ever being as a child. I love to see my kids on Christmas morning. We open presents, eat some yummy breakfast, sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. It just doesn't get any better than this.
As I look back over this year, I realize how blessed I have been. I decided a little over a year ago that I wanted to start my own photography business. With my wonderful husband as my investor, I was on my way. But equipment and hours of studying don't make a business, and certainly not a successful one. So, here I am a year later with a business that is booming better than I had even hoped for. Clients that I am so blessed to have, and so many friendships formed. I couldn't have ever imagined that my little thought of a business would be so good to me. And I never imagined I would make so many wonderful friends along the way. I so enjoy stepping into your lives for a moment to capture memories, then being able to stick around as a friend to see how these wonderful children change and grow. Someone told me recently that I need to learn to seperate business and personal. I thought about it long and hard, and know now why it didn't sound right. They weren't saying it in the nicest way to begin with, but I will never seperate the two. My business IS personal to me. My clients ARE personal to me. My work IS personal to me. It's my passion...my heart. When it becomes just business, I will know it's time to move on. So, thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this journey that much enjoyable. Thank you for letting me into your lives for a moment, then inviting me to stay. Thank you for your patience in my learning process, support, kindness, and mostly for being the best darn clients and people a girl could ever ask for. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas from our family to yours. Here's hoping Santa brings something good for you!

I finally posted the January Blog Special, it's updated in the last post.
Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year!

I am FINALLY updating the blog

I am a bad blog owner. Bad. But in my own defense life and business have been crazy busy. But I am so glad to say that I am out of the Christmas season for portraits. If you missed out on a Christmas session, sorry, but with the great specials to come you can surely make up for it. I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family. We went to Kentucky to see my family on my mom's side. It was great fun, but I ate WAY too much. I came back definitely looking pregnant! And of course with my dumb luck I had a dr. appt a week after Thanksgiving. So, I gained 4 POUNDS in between visits. ACK! I explained it all very well by telling the dr that I ate the whole turkey. :) My lovely neighbor even asked if I swallowed it whole. Thanks, way to make a girl feel good. hehe So, it was a good trip. I slept a LOT and wondered if the travel had really just taken that much out of me. I couldn't figure out why I was so stinkin tired. It was bad. I was going to bed every night at 8! I was beating the kids in the who can pass out fastest game. I know, such a show off. :P Well, it all makes sense now. My anemia is worse in this pregnancy than it has been before. It never stops amazing me how different every pregnancy has been for me. The bad part is that each one has had it's problems and complications, all of them being different. Why can't I just have a boring uneventful peaceful pregnancy?!?! And seriously, the women who LOVE pregnancy (no offense what so ever...I would love to love it, but the problems ruin it every time), but I am NOT one of those women. I don't particularly care for it. I mean of course I love feeling my sweet little baby move. I love knowing that my own is growing in there. But the toll it takes on me is not too cool. But this being my last one, I can say that I am appreciating it a lot more than ever. And even better, we had yet another ultrasound Thursday and the baby is doing beautifully. So, there you have it. The update on baby 3 I have been asked about a million times and keep swearing I will post about and haven't. That's about all I got for now except for my January special. Hope you all have a wonderful week and get that Christmas shopping done!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi guys! Just a quick reminder that I am on vacation which started today (YAY) and will be returning on the Sunday the 26th. We will be out of state visiting family, and eating LOTS of good food. I'm not too sure how often I will be able to check my email (if at all). So, please bare with me and I will get back to you when I get back in town if not before. I will be back in action and working to get all deadlines met, packages shipped, and orders delivered on Monday the 27th. I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving. Eat good, rest up, and beware of crazy people shopping on Friday (I hear they are ruthless)! I'll be back with vacation pics and *hopefully* a new family portrait! Talk to you all soon!

Eliot

I honestly believed I would never be seeing this day. As many of you know, I was personally touched by a little man. A baby that had spoken volumes to my heart. He reminded me of God's true and unmeasurable love. His parents reminded me to be strong in my faith. To have patience. To persevere. The three of them taught me to open my eyes and love what I see. They taught me that things may not always happen as WE expect them to, but that doesn't make the blessings smaller. They taught me to love more passionately. I appreciate my life more. I appreciate my husband and children more. I appreciate God more. I could go on all day about the many ways this family impacted my life. In 98 days, they made changes in me. And others. Their faith is something I admire. On October 27th Eliot went to be with the Lord. If you would like to read about Eliot's precious and inspiring journey, visit his blog.
My heart and prayers are with you, Matt and Ginny. Eliot, thank you. Thank You. You continue to teach and inspire me. My love is with the three of you. Always.
